Job Summary:
Budget Development and Management:
- Shall lead the development, management, and monitoring of the company's annual fiscal budget.
- Shall collaborates with departments to gather budgetary needs and ensure their appropriate inclusion.
- Shall analyze historical revenue, expenses, import costs, and other relevant financial data to inform budget projections.
- Shall compile and analyze projected revenue, operating expenses, and capital expenditures for the draft budget.
- Shall resents the budget to the Budget Committee and Management for review and approval.
Budget Committee Support:
- Shall collaborate with the Managing Director and Financial Comptroller to establish the Budget Committee.
- Shall develop the Budget Hearing schedule and serves as secretary to the committee.
Budget Monitoring and Variance Analysis:
- Shall monitor budget performance throughout the fiscal year.
- Shall reconciles purchase orders against budgetary allocations, identifying and analyzing variances.
- Shall conduct regular analysis of actual versus budgeted revenue, expenses, and import costs.
- Shall provide timely advice to management regarding budget variances and recommends corrective actions.
Budget Reporting and Communication:
- Shall prepares and distributes a monthly budget performance report to management and relevant departments, highlighting significant deviations from the budget.
- Shall communicate budget performance and variances to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
Budget Policy and Procedure Development:
- Shall develop and recommend updates to budgeting policies and procedures to improve budgetary practices.
- Shall ensures consistent application of budget policies and procedures across the organization.
- Shall perform other related duties as assigned
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor degree in accounting, economics, management or related filed.
- Master’s degree in accounting, economics, management or related filed, Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or Chartered Accountant (CA, ACCA, ACA) or relevant finance related certification (CFA, CIMA, CMA, etc.). These are all added advantages.
