- Background
The Liberia Petroleum Refining Company (LPRC) is a state-owned entity responsible for the importation, storage, and distribution of petroleum products in Liberia. LPRC plays a critical role in ensuring the availability and accessibility of petroleum products for national development. To enhance its market positioning, strengthen its brand, and develop innovative strategies for business growth, LPRC seeks torecruit a qualified and experienced Marketing Manager.
- Purpose of the Position
The Marketing Manager will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing strategic
marketing initiatives that align with LPRC’s mission and vision. The role requires expertise in market
analysis, brand management, stakeholder engagement, and the development of strategies to optimize salesand customer satisfaction in the petroleum industry.
- Key Responsibilities
The Marketing Manager’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Strategic Marketing and Planning
- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to enhance LPRC’s
market presence.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and
competitive dynamics in the petroleum industry.
- Establish short- and long-term marketing objectives in alignment with corporate goals.
- Brand Management and Promotion
- Strengthen the LPRC brand through targeted campaigns, public relations, and
stakeholder engagement.
- Oversee the design and production of promotional materials, advertising campaigns,
and events.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and ensure timely resolution of complaints.
- Reporting and Performance Measurement
- Prepare regular reports on marketing activities, performance metrics, and market trends.
- Provide data-driven recommendations to the senior management team for decision-
making.
- Qualifications and Experience
Education:
- Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of seven (7) years of professional experience in the petroleum industry, with a
strong focus on marketing, sales, management or business development.
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing marketing strategies in a
competitive business environment.
Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent knowledge of marketing principles, market research, and analytics.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent computer knowledge, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word,
Excel, PowerPoint) and marketing software (e.g., CRM systems, data analytics tools).
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Deliverables
- Annual marketing strategy and implementation plan.
- Quarterly market analysis reports.
- Regular performance reviews of marketing campaigns.
- Increased visibility and stakeholder engagement for LPRC.
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Growth in market share and sales volume.
- Improved customer satisfaction ratings.
- Increased brand visibility and positive public perception.
- Successful execution of marketing campaigns within budget and timeline.
