LPRC Conducts Its First Administrative Working Session.
To promote productivity and efficiency at the Liberia Petroleum Refining Company (LPRC), the company's new management Team led by MD Tweh, has kickstarted a series of in-house training and capacity-building programs. Among the many planned programs is the Administrative Working Session.
A well-organized session was attended by the Executive Management Team (EMT), Senior Management Team (SMT), and Assistant Managers of various departments in the conference room of the LPRC Administrative Building.
The purpose of the LPRC’s first-ever Administrative Working Session is to deliberate and strategize on critical issues for the year 2024 review progress on current objectives and set new strategic goals.
The Theme for the Session is the LPRC First Tank Policy.
The complete implementation of the LPRC’s “First Tanks “policy will ensure that LPRC terminals are prioritized as the initial storage destination for petroleum products before considering private terminals.
In a brief remark, Mr. Aaron J. Wheagar, Chairman of the Board of LPRC emphasized the need for training of employees and the continued upgrading of LPRC facilities to increase productivity and profitability.
“When people are not trained productivity can be low at the company”.
He further stressed that the training of employees and the upgrading of the company’s facilities is intended to curtail losses.
For his part, the Managing Director Mr. Amos B. Tweh used the occasion to thank the Board Chairman and admonished Managers, Assistant Managers, and consultants on the company’s new policy and strategic plan moving forward.
MD Tweh talked about increasing the storage capacity of LPRC which will be beneficiary to the company and the country at large.
Some of the facilitators that deliberated during the working session are Mr. Charles D. Sherman II, Marketing Manager, Mr. Yeakeh Sayequee, Operations Manager, Mrs. Leelar N. Dymacole, Assistant Manager for Operations-PIS Mr. Rufus S Berry II, Senior Strategic Consultant.
