PRESIDENT GEORGE MANNAH WEAH VISITS LIBERIA PETROLEUM REFINING COMPANY (LPRC)
On October 31, 2018, H. E. Dr. George M. Weah President of the Republic of Liberia pay a visit to the Liberia Petroleum Refining Company to assess the ongoing rehabilitation project. Upon his arrival, the President was greeted by the Managing Director, Ms. Nyemadi D. Pearson and members of the Management Team of (LPRC).
MD Pearson along with the Management Team led the President on a guarded tour, where she expressed gratitude to the President for the level of confidence imposed in her to serve as Managing Director and with his support, she promised that she will do all she can to bring LPRC at the level of other product storage terminals in Africa.
For his part, the President expressed satisfaction over the level of work Ms. Pearson and her Team are doing for the good of Liberia under the Pro Poor agenda. He further said, when this project is completed, it will create more jobs and provide fuel security for our country. He went on to thank MD and her team and encouraged them to continue the good work.
The President was accompanied by the Minister of State for Presidential Affairs, Hon. Nathaniel F. McGill and Hon. Bill Twehway, Managing Director of the National Port Authority, (NPA)
It can be record that since the inception of the Ms. Pearson administration at the LPRC, there has been some improvement in the facility such as, the rehabilitation of the Site Clinic to a modern standard and the improvement of the Oilers Canteen just to name a few.
