LPRC SENIOR MANAGEMENT TOURS TANK FARM
In its drive to fast track the completion of the Product Storage Terminal Rehabilitation & Expansion Project, the Senior Management Team(SMT) of the Liberia Petroleum Refining Company led by the entity’s Managing Director, Ms. Nyemadi D. Pearson continues to make routine inspection tours to various project sites at the Product Storage Terminal (PST) in Monrovia.
The latest of such tours was made on Thursday, May 18, 2018 when the MD and entourage toured several project sites including the Taxico tank farm, the World Bank sponsored fuel unloading facility, and a temporary loading gentry that is being constructed at the Product Storage Terminal (PST).
The tour was part of management regular routine and was intended to appraise progress being made on the ongoing rehabilitation and expansion Projects.
The Operations Manager and tour guide , Bobby Brown informed the delegation that consistent with the approved work plan, two of the six tanks under the project are scheduled to be commissioned soon.
“Though not part of the original PST Expansion Project, the construction of the temporary gantry which is being carried out by a Liberian company will make provision for the uninterrupted supply of fuel to the economy while a new state-of- the art loading gantry is being constructed” Mr. Brown informed the SMT delegation.
Given the urgency of the construction project, the operation manager promised that the completion of the temporary gantry will be done in about four weeks.
Accompanied by an array of senior staff, Ms Pearson , praised the ongoing Rehabilitation & Expansion Project as the first practical step taken by the management of LPRC to resuscitate the state only functioning oil deport. The project, which is being undertaken by the Government of Liberia through The Liberia Petroleum Refining Company, is aimed at making the country fully fuel secure.
She urged the Liberian constructors implementing the construction of the temporary gantry to accelerate the construction process as planned.
