LPRC Upgrades Site Clinic
In an effort to boost employees' welfare and improve their access to quality health services, the Management of the Liberia Petroleum Refining Company has embarked on a campaign to refurbish and equip the LPRC Site Clinic with state-of-the-art medical equipment.
Renovation works at the clinic begun shortly after the new management team of LPRC rendered its Physical and other infrastructure unfavorable and not reflective of a health facility. Already, the number of rooms to accommodate short stay patients has increased from two to four while the number of bath rooms has also gone from one to two in order to match its modified architectural design.
Additionally, a new state-of –the –art medical laboratory along with other equipment has been procured and set up to do blood chemistry, liver and kidney function tests, Parasitological and Blood Culture. Before now, the clinic performed test for only Typhoid and Malaria.
The funding for the renovation and procurement of the equipment was solicited by Ms. Nyemadi D. Pearson, the Managing Director of the company. It can be recalled that during her acquaintance meeting with employees of the company, the Managing Director made a pledge to underwrite the cost of renovating and refurbishing the LPRC site Clinic.
Mrs. Wennie Massaquoi, Head Nurse at the Clinic applauded the Management, in particular the Managing Director, for focusing its attention not only on improving the Company's finances, but also on the welfare and medical needs of the employees.
When fully reconditioned, the clinic will provide first class emergency medical services to employees.
