FIRST LADY MRS, CLAR WEAH PAYS COURTESY CALL ON LPRC MANAGEMENT
The First Lady of the Republic of Liberia, Mrs. Clar Weah on Friday March 2, 2018 paid a courtesy call on the management of the Liberia Petroleum Refining Company (LPRC).
The visit was intended to give Mrs. Weah the first hand information about the entity since the appointment of Mrs. Nyemadi Pearson as Managing Director.
During the visit, Mrs. Weah toured the company's site clinic, the newly constructed fuel unloading facility and the operations building. The First Lady expressed happiness and praised Managing Director Mrs. Pearson and team for the level of work done at the various projects sites.
In response, the Managing Director thanked Mrs. Weah for the visit and assured the First Lady of her Management’s commitment to work with President Weah in the implementation of the Pro-Poor Agenda. The LPRC Managing Director said that she hopes that the first lady next visit will be to dedicate completed projects especially the ongoing clinic renovation project.
It may be recalled that during her acquaintance meeting with staff of LPRC, Mrs. Pearson promised to personally underwrite the cost of rehabilitating the LPRC site clinic.
Employees lauded the initiative by Mrs. Weah to visit the Refinery and praised the newly appointed Managing Director and her team for the level of unity, corporation and cordial working relations during the nearly three weeks of work.
