LPRC GIVES $75,000.00 TO FIGHT EBOLA
The Liberia Petroleum Refining Company (LPRC) has joined the fight against the deadly Ebola virus by contributing a staggering amount of $75,000.00 United States dollars as part of the Company's Corporate Social Responsibility to be used for preventive gears such as face masks, body suits, latex gloves, foot and head wears for the medical workers at medical facilities throughout the country.
At a press conference at the LPRC, Managing Director T. Nelson Williams, II with Board Chairman, Dr. Herman Brown, in attendance noted among other things “the LPRC Board of Directors met in an extraordinary session, and resolved to take positive and direct action aimed at curbing the alarming rise of cases of Ebola in Liberia. We made specific reference to health workers who are sacrificing at the front lines of this battle, who desperately need and deserve the full support of us all."
Mr. Williams then said " In buttressing the efforts of the National Ebola Task Force recently set up by our president, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, the LPRC family is presenting $75,000.00 United States dollars as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility to be used for preventive gears such as face masks, body suits, latex gloves, foot and head wears for the medical workers at medical facilities throughout the country."
