GREAT PLANS PUT FORTH AT EMT RETREAT
The 2013 Annual Retreat of the Executive Management Team (EMT) ended with a lot of positives as the Liberia Petroleum Refining Company (LPRC) continues to grow.
The Retreat held on December 3, at the LIBASSA Ecolodge in Marshall City, Margibi County, was quite a unique one as there were a host of highly significant issues discussed, with the challenges the company is faced with and the way forward in dealing with them highlighted with the theme of the retreat being “Keeping The 5-Year Strategic Plan On Track”.
In his welcome statement, Management Director T. Nelson Williams, II said the Retreat was intended to improve the downstream Oil Sector in Liberia. He also noted that the Retreat was a way reviewing how well they have performed as well as the challenges on hand.
“Next year is the hum year, we will need to push to achieve in 2015 and 2016”, Mr. Williams indicated. There were several presentations made with MD T. Nelson Williams, II and Planning and Project Manager J. Gbleh-bo Brown touching on” Keeping The 5-Year Strategic Plan on Track”. The duo also touched on: Progress against Plan, Key Planned Activities Lacking behind & How to Keep on Track and Cataloguing 2014 Major Projects.
Deputy Managing Director for Operations, Aaron J. Wheagar, I did a presentation on Maintaining A Safe Terminal & Environment: 2014 Health, Safety & Environment Plan, Maintenance of Plant Facilities:2013, Challenges and Major Plans for 2014, with maintenance Manager, Bobby G. Brown briefly injecting some key points.
There was also a presentation on “Workforce Analysis” done by Deputy Managing Director for Administration, Jackson Fiah Doe, Jr.
Then, there was general discussion as highlights were given on the ongoing Motherwell Project, the Ganta Oil Terminal, plans for importation of petroleum products, plans for a new corporate office, etc.
