LPRC GIVES TO ROCK CITY COMMUNITY
The Liberia Petroleum Refining Company, (LPRC), with its life touching Corporate Social Responsibility program continues to dominate headlines in many quarters.
With several institutions, organizations and communities greatly benefiting from such a great program, the LPRC continues to make headways in such area.
The latest of such initiative came to the fore on Saturday, August 2, when the LPRC through Managing Director T. Nelson Williams, II donated 60 bags of cement to the Rock City Community on General Services Agency, (GSA), Road for a road project.
Making the donation, MD Williams said it is good that the community decided to engage in such venture as government cannot do everything. Mr. Williams noted that the donation to the community was that of the LPRC but promised to make his personal contribution at a later date.
“On behalf of the Board, Management and employees of the LPRC, I like to present these bags of cement to help with the road project which will ease travel”, Mr. Williams indicated.
Receiving the items, Joseph Laboe, Sr. project head of the community said they were grateful to the LPRC for the donation and said the cement will be used for the intended purpose.
Also present during the donation was Nimba County Representative Jeremiah K. Koung who is a resident of the Rock City Community.
