Responding To Corporate Social Responsibility
The Liberia Petroleum Refining Company, (LPRC), continues to respond to its Corporate Social Responsibility, (CSR), as it has over the years contributed massively to many Institutions, Organizations and Individuals as it gives back to various communities.
A key component of the Company’s CSR is its Health, Safety & Environment section, (HSE), which has the Company’s gallant fire fighters as a part.
The fire fighters of the LPRC are inarguably the best in the country as they have successfully fought fire in various parts of the country for many years.
The latest of such great undertaking was on Wednesday, April 24, when the highly brave and effective fire fighters of the LPRC combined with others in quenching a fierce fire at the Jo-Hensen business and residential area in the Waterside, Mamba Point communities.
At about 6:45 PM, the area was gutted by fire as a result of short circuit, according to reports gathered.
Dressed in their full regalia, the ever enthusiastic LPRC fire fighters showed commitment, desire and passion in quenching the fire as they helped a lot.
Though there were several deaths reported including some fire fighters of the Liberia National Fire Service, the folks of the LPRC by the Grace of God came unscathed as several lives and properties were also saved.
In furtherance, the LPRC fire fighters have expressed regret over the death of their colleagues from the Liberia National Fire Service and other areas. With a slogan “Action, Fire, Injury to one, injury to all! The LPRC is no doubt a major study case also in its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) as its very efficient fire fighters continue to save lives and properties in the country.
