The Liberia Petroleum Refining Company (LPRC) has not only focused on the present but the future and has since embarked on a five-year (5) strategic plan that has now define the path to future developmental activities.
Furthermore, the signing of a US $22.4 million contract with the United Kingdom based company, Motherwell Bridge Limited, in October, 2011 for the rehabilitation of the Product Storage Terminal (PST), has included another pellucid reason why LPRC is not only focused on the present but the future as well.
A Leadership Program has been developed for younger employees to be trained or afforded the opportunity to broaden their horizon by obtaining scholarship through management in furthering their education through colleges and universities outside of Liberia..
There are also plans to tap into talents of students in technical institutions or students involved with the sciences. Since work at the refinery is mostly technical, a recruitment program is being developed, from an LPRC perspective, to harness the skills of students graduating from various institutions in the country to contribute to LPRC and forming part of the work force.
