In its drive to promote education which is the key to success, the Liberia petroleum Refining Company (LPRC) continues to provide scholarships for students in various parts of the country.
The Company has channeled its scholarship activities through a separate group at the Stella Maris Polytechnic headed by Sister Mary Lauren Brown, a renowned educator.
Founded in 2006, the LPRC Scholarship Foundation covers eight counties namely: Bomi, Bong, Grand Bassa, Grand Cape Mount, Margibi, Montserrado, Rivercess and Gbarpolu. More than 1000 students in these counties have benefited from the scholarship program which has gone a long way in making impact in the society.
Applicants are vetted and verified to be registered students in the various high schools and universities. Successful applicants benefit from such program for two academic years or four semesters after which time there is another vetting process for new recruits.
