 « Latest News »  The Liberian Leader dedicates the Corporate Headquarters of the Liberia Petroleum Refining Company

H.E Dr. George M. Weah has dedicated a newly constructed state of the art corporate headquarters of the Liberia Petroleum Refining company, on the Bushrod Island, Monrovia. At a well attended ceremony by an array of government officials and development partners of Liberia , held on January 20,2021 at the product storage Terminal.
The Liberian leader termed the dedication of the Corporate Headquarters of the LPRC as another milestone under the Pro-Poor government , indicating that for the past forty years such dedicatory ceremony was never experienced in the history of LPRC, the president said his administration finds it appropriate to modernize and expand facilities of the country broken infrastructure, thereby creating more office space. The Liberian leader said his administration is committed to the infrastructure development of Liberia, which will enable government raise more revenue and cancel the rental payment of other autonomous agencies or ministries offices, holding to the fact that more fund will be directed to other sector of the country. President Weah , also thanked the management of LPRC for the construction of it Corporate Headquarters, and two former Managing Directors, ( Prof. Sumo Kupee and Ms. Nyemadi D. Pearson for initiating the project.
Lastly president Weah caution the management of LPRC on the maintenance of its newly constructed Building, in order to serve the entity continuously. Speaking earlier, LPRC Managing Director Marie Urey Coleman lauded her predecessors for making the project a reality.
The Managing Director Coleman promised to work harder to ensure that the project is well maintained for its intended purpose. The new facility currently has about 134 offices as well as other modern facilities, the facility is part of phase one of the entire project which is expected to be completed by June 2021.
The ceremony was graced by Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, J Fonati Kofa, the Chairman, and members of the board of directors and the entire work force of LPRC.
