 « Latest News »  DMD/O WANTS PRIORITY GIVEN TO FIRE SERVICE
DMDO, Wheagar paid tribute onbehalf of the LPRCDeputy Managing Director for Operations Aaron J. Wheagar, I have called on the need for the National Fire Service to be given priority.
 
Mr. Wheagar made the disclosure when he paid a tribute on behalf of the Liberia Petroleum Refining Company, (LPRC), at the funeral of two National Fire Service personnel, Nathaniel Wesseh and Francis Sewon. The funeral was held on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium.
 
The DMD/O also called for fire awareness in the country. He then described the April 24, fire disaster at the Fouani Brothers down Waterside where the two fire personnel died as the most critical and noted that fire fighters of the LPRC were trapped in the rubble  as well but were grateful to God they survived. Fire fighters of the LPRC were in full attendance as they marched with the caskets bearing the mortal remains of their fallen colleagues of the National Fire Service.
 
Also at the funeral was Justice Minister Christiana Tah who stressed on the need increment in Insurance benefit for firemen in the country.
